MapThru, a product of GoThru (“we,” “our,” or “us”), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, process, and protect information when you use our website (https://map-thru.com/), our indoor mapping platform, digital twins workspace, and associated APIs/SDKs (collectively, the “Service”).

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in two main categories: information from our direct users (Workspace Customers) and information from individuals who interact with the maps created via our Service (End-Users).

A. Customer Data (Workspace Users)

  • Account & Authentication: Name, email address, password, and third-party authentication data (e.g., Google SSO profile information).
  • Billing Information: If applicable, financial details required for processing subscription payments.
  • Workspace Assets: Floor plans, metadata, routing logic, and digital twin configurations uploaded to MapThru.

B. End-User Data (Map Viewers & Wayfinding) When End-Users interact with maps generated by MapThru (via web links, SDKs, or mobile integrations), we may automatically collect:

  • Device & Usage Data: IP addresses, browser types, operating systems, and interaction metrics (e.g., which routes are searched most frequently).
  • Location Telemetry (Optional):If explicit consent is granted by the End-User on their device, we may collect real-time indoor positioning data (e.g., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth/BLE beacon signals, or GPS) solely to provide the “blue dot” wayfinding experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data to:

  • Deliver, maintain, and secure the MapThru Service.
  • Render accurate 3D floor maps and calculate wayfinding routes.
  • Analyze platform performance and aggregate usage trends to improve our UI/UX and routing algorithms.
  • Ensure legal compliance and enforce our Terms of Service.

Note: We do not use End-User location data to personally identify individuals, nor do we sell this telemetry to third-party advertisers.

3. Data Sharing and Sub-Processors

We only share information under the following circumstances:

  • Within the GoThru Ecosystem: To provide unified support and infrastructure across GoThru products.
  • Service Providers (Sub-processors): We utilize trusted third parties for cloud hosting, database management, and analytics. These providers are bound by strict data processing agreements.
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, subpoena, or to protect the safety and rights of GoThru, our users, or the public.

4. International Data Transfers

MapThru operates globally. Your information may be transferred to, processed, and stored in servers located outside of your state, province, or country. We ensure that such cross-border data transfers comply with applicable privacy laws, utilizing standard contractual clauses and recognized data protection frameworks to safeguard your data during international transit.

5. Data Retention and Security

We implement robust, industry-standard security measures (including encryption in transit and at rest) to protect your data.

  • Customer Data: Retained as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, workspace data is securely purged in accordance with our retention schedule.
  • End-User Analytics: Retained in an aggregated, anonymized format for service improvement.
