Terms of Service

Last updated: July 14, 2026

Welcome to MapThru! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the MapThru website (https://map-thru.com/), our indoor mapping workspace, digital twins infrastructure, APIs, and SDKs (collectively, the “Service”). MapThru is a product developed, operated, and maintained by GoThru (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By registering an account, integrating our API/SDK, or otherwise accessing the Service, you (“Customer,” “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Provision of Service and Account Security

  • Workspace Registration: You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account (including via third-party providers like Google). You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  • Service Availability: We strive to maintain high availability of the Service. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service with or without notice.

2. Acceptable Use and Restrictions

When using MapThru, you agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal, unauthorized, or dangerous purposes.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or underlying routing algorithms of our Service, APIs, or SDKs.
  • Sell, resell, or lease the core Service to third parties without a specific enterprise agreement with GoThru.
  • Upload content that infringes upon the intellectual property rights of others or contains malicious code.

3. Intellectual Property and Data Ownership

  • Customer Assets: You retain full ownership of the raw floor plans, geospatial data, and specific digital assets you upload to MapThru. By uploading this data, you grant GoThru a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, process, and render this data to provide the Service to you and your end-users.
  • MapThru Technology: All rights, title, and interest in the Service, including the UI/UX, 3D rendering engines, mapping software, and routing logic, remain the exclusive property of GoThru.

4. Disclaimers: Wayfinding and Map Accuracy

This is a critical provision regarding indoor mapping. MapThru provides digital maps and routing logic for informational and navigational assistance only.

  • We do not warrant that the generated routes, 3D models, or digital twins accurately reflect the current physical environment, which may change due to construction, temporary closures, or emergencies.
  • No Life Safety Reliance: The Service is not intended for mission-critical emergency routing, life safety planning, or evacuation protocols. You and your end-users must not rely solely on MapThru in emergency situations.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GoThru, its affiliates, and its directors shall not be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business interruption, arising out of or in any way connected with the use or performance of the Service, the delay or inability to use the Service, or navigational errors experienced by end-users.

6. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the courts located in Toronto, Ontario.

7. Modifications to the Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page or via email. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes your acknowledgment and acceptance of the updated Terms.
